Ingredients:
1 tablespoon butter
1 cup chopped onion
2 cups green peas (fresh/frozen)
2 tablespoon of tomato puree
1-1/2 cup of vegetable broth
Salt and pepper to taste
1 teaspoon of curry powder (optional)
1 teaspoon of cream (optional)
Method:
On medium heat, melt butter and add onion to it and saute.
Once the onion is cooked through add in the green peas and saute well.
Now add the tomato puree and mix well.
Add 1-1/2 cup of vegetable broth and mix well.
Season with salt and pepper to taste and bring it to a boil on medium heat.
In a blender, puree the soup until very smooth. Return the soup to the pot and bring it to a simmer after adding 1 teaspoon of curry powder.
Before serving, add a spoonful of cream.
