Ingredients:
1/3 cup warm water
2-1/2 teaspoons of yeast
1 tablespoon sugar
1 cup milk
3-1/2 tablespoons of butter
3 to 3-1/2 cups of all purpose flour plus extra for dusting
2 tablespoons of milk powder
1 teaspoon salt
1-1/2 cup chopped apples
1/3 cup sugar, or as needed
1 tablespoon cinnamon, or as needed
Method:
Melt butter in milk either on stove top or in a microwave and set aside.
Heat 1/3 cup of water to about 110 degrees Fahrenheit and add yeast and sugar and set aside to activate.
Meanwhile, mix flour, salt, and milk powder.
Once the yeast is activated (foamy), add it to the flour along with milk and melted butter and knead into a soft dough.
Add extra flour if needed and knead until everything comes together and forms a soft dough.
Place it in a greased bowl and let it sit in a warm spot in your kitchen to double in size which may take approximately 1 hour to 1 hour 30 minutes.
Once the dough has risen:
1. Mix sugar and cinnamon.
2. Chop apples and keep ready.
3. Add 2 tablespoons of cinnamon sugar to apples and mix.
4. Grease your baking pan with oil or butter and keep ready.
Deflate the dough and divide into tiny balls and roll it up in the sugar and cinnamon mixture and place each of the dough balls in the baking pan, once you have finished with half of the dough, top it with apples.
Do the same with the left over dough and apples.
Once everything is done, keep aside covered in a warm spot for about an hour or 45 minutes for it to rise.
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and bake for 40-50 minutes, the baking time depends on your oven.
Once done, let it cool and serve.
