Ingredients:
2-3/4 cups of all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons of granulated sugar
2 sticks of unsalted butter
1/2 cup ice water or as needed
Method:
Cut butter into small cubes and keep them chilled until its ready to be used.
In a bowl, mix all the dry ingredients. Using a pastry cutter or a fork, cut in the butter until the flour resembles wet sand.
Add a tablespoon of water at a time and mix until the dough comes together. Using cling wrap, pull the dough together into a ball and chill for 30 minutes or until you are ready to use.
Sprinkle some flour on to your work surface and gently roll out to desired shape to fit the pan.
